comfortableColts spot Washington six, then win going away 30-13
Washington opened with two field goals, took a 6-0 lead, and apparently decided that was enough offense for one Sunday. The Commanders treated the end zone like a museum exhibit for most of the afternoon — look, don't touch — before a third-quarter touchdown made the scoreboard slightly less embarrassing.
Indianapolis, meanwhile, scored 10 points in each of the final three quarters, because that's what professional offenses do. Jonathan Taylor punched in two 5-yard touchdowns, Spencer Shrader was automatic from 48, 52, and 44, and Daniel Jones ran one in himself in the fourth quarter — which is how you know it was over. When Daniel Jones is scoring rushing touchdowns, the defense has officially stopped filing paperwork.
The final indignity: Washington's 6-0 lead lasted about as long as a New Year's resolution. The Colts turned it into a 30-13 laugher without ever seeming particularly stressed, which is the most damning thing you can say about a loss. The Commanders didn't lose a football game so much as they attended one.
