Bears outgain Jets 492-157; the 11-point margin is doing charity work

Chicago never trailed, led by 17, and outgained the Jets 492-157 — a 335-yard gap that should come with a wellness check. The Bears scored in all four quarters, never let it get interesting, and generally conducted themselves like a team that had somewhere better to be.

New York's lone touchdown was a 58-yard heave from Geno Smith after the score was already 23-6 — the football equivalent of tipping the valet after the car already left. It was the Jets' longest play of the day and their most meaningless, which is one way to summarize the afternoon.
