comfortableIrving rumbles for 165 as Bucs bully Dallas and Dak gives it away
Tampa Bay didn't need much of a passing game on Sunday. Bucky Irving ran 21 times for 165 yards — 7.9 a carry, including a 72-yard burst — and the Bucs ripped off 17 unanswered points in the third quarter to bury Dallas 24-16. Emeka Egbuka even got in on the act with a 14-yard rushing touchdown, because when the run game is working, apparently everyone gets a carry.
Jalon Daniels managed the afternoon like a veteran: 19-of-25 for 189 yards, one touchdown, no interceptions, and zero drama. Tampa Bay won the EPA battle 6.9 to minus-5.5, which is the polite statistical way of saying one team kept moving forward and the other kept moving backward.
Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards and found George Pickens nine times for 130, but his two interceptions told the real story — especially the last one, picked off by Alex Anzalone at the Tampa 12 with 1:22 left. That's the difference between a 300-yard day and a loss: one team ran for 165 yards, the other threw away its final chance.
