blowoutMaye drops 374 yards and four TDs in a 45-17 Patriots rout
Drake Maye threw for 374 yards and four touchdowns with a 150.9 rating as New England dismantled Las Vegas 45-17. The Patriots piled up 27.1 total EPA at 0.30 per play, which is what happens when one team is playing chess and the other is playing checkers with half the pieces missing.
DeMario Douglas caught two touchdowns, Kyle Williams added a 34-yarder, Hunter Henry chipped in another, and Maye even ran one in himself from three yards out — the quarterback equivalent of doing your own stunts. New England scored in every quarter, because why stop a good thing.
Kirk Cousins wasn't the problem: 243 yards, a touchdown to Brock Bowers, no picks, a 106.7 rating. He was just the guy standing across from a buzzsaw. When the other quarterback throws for 374 and your defense allows 45, your efficient afternoon becomes a footnote. The Raiders left with a moral victory and an actual 28-point loss.
